Very SAD, but happy first clutch.
Well today was day 54 for our first clutch ever and the anticipation was starting to kill us so we decided to cut today instead of tomorrow like we planned.
The pairing was Spider x Normal
When we started cutting the outcome was very sad! 3 out of the 7 eggs had babies that didn't make it. :tears: One Spider and 2 Normals. The inside of those eggs were very dry and from the size of the babies and the yolk sacs left it looked like they had died atleast a week or 2 ago. Not really sure what happened with these 3 eggs but it definitely sucks.
We did take some pics of the ones that didn't make it if anyone cares to see and possible help us with what might of happened.
Luckily the other 4 are alive and it looks like we got 1 Spider and 3 Normals, so hopefully since the overall odds weren't great and we lost 3 of the eggs, the Spider will be female so we can have a hold back from our first clutch.
2 of the Normals

We actually only lost 3 so we still have 4 healthy babies!
Sorry about you loss too. You always know it's a part of breeding, but it sure does suck when you loss any!

I reallllyyyy hope that spider ends up being a girl for you to holdback!
Thanks.
Here are a couple pics of the ones that didn't make it.:(
Disturbing Pics. If you don't want to see please don't scroll down!
First is the Spider. It wasn't much bigger than a pencil, maybe alittle longer but not much thicker. And the yolk sac was still very big.

This is one of the Normals still in the egg.
The one thing I noticed about all three of them was the inside of the eggs were very dried out, so I'm not sure if that is just something that happens when the babies die early in the eggs or possibly what caused them to die.
You can also see how the yolk is somewhat hard and everything inside was discolored.
