Went great folks...
https://ball-pythons.net/albums/Bubba-the-Ball/shed.jpg
one piece, all retained eye caps gone...
one problem though, i am a bit worried about. when he shed his tail, or the poop shoot rather, a little bit of blood was on the skin. anyone ever heard of this?
Thanks...

Fantastic! Good job Bubba!
As for the blood....I'm guessing it isnt a big deal...he was so dried out before...probably just an after effect.

yeah that is what i'm thinking, but like i told you a a few minutes ago.. i honestly believe he has retained eye caps his entire life, he is a whole new snake as of now. this is the first time ive ever seen him sleep outside of a hide. :)
he feels much much better, it's obvious.

Good job with Bubba, Will. I'm sure he feels much better and thinks you're the coolest 8)
Excellent display of good husbandry!

thanks steel, means a lot. i was worried for this guys life back in early december when he arrived, but now i'm overly sure Bubba is going to be with me for a very, VERY long time. :)

Great to hear Bubba is a whole new snake! LOL...As for the blood, that has happened to my snakes a few times, I wouldn't worry about it. I've come to the conclusion that it is just when they are pulling the skin off the cloaca, I think it's the hardest part to rip off for them.. Who knows.. Anyway, nothing I would worry about (like you even are anymore, LOL).

still bothers me a bit, but no biggie. someone explained to me this could happen if they have retained pieces of skin in some areas, as well as what you said... just pulling too hard.
oh and btw, he shed in less than one hour from crack of the skin to the tip of his tail. i watched the entire process :).

Wish I could catch mine in the act! I think that would be cool to watch.

Small Snakes?
it's really fascinating. i love the way they move their bodies when they shed, perfect display of their muscle structure.

That's awesome... I think I've witnessed shedding a total of...hmm...well, a bunch of times  But just today I looked inside the home of my huge "garbage disposal" female bp, and I saw her face shed on the floor right outside of her hide. I was like "sweet!" So, I grabbed the water bottle just to give her a smooth ride through the process. It took her a total of probably 10 minutes after I sprayed water on her. If I ever catch them shedding, (which, like I said, kinda happens alot) I always give them an easy little boost to avoid unshed peices here and there, and to smoothen the *probably tiring* process for them. They always come out smooth and pretty! :)
Anyway, just thought I'd share...lol..
