My new girl is coming on Thursday :D
The person selling her had a family emergency (her husband had to be hospitalized) so the arrival of my pastel girl was on hold until now, I can't wait to get her Thursday :D

    I also had a question,

When using a generic tub is there anything recommended to clip the sides down? The sides on mine have a decent amount of give and I would hate if she injured herself or got out.

A lot of people use binder clips (like you would fond at an office store) to secure the sides of the tubs. Alternatively I've heard of people wrapping luggage straps, belts, or bungee cords around.

Be sure to share pics when she arrives! How exciting!

Thank you :D I'll see how the binder clips work, I want to be extremely careful since I don't want to risk one of my best friends(my galah).

Congrats! You are going to love your new snake, and a pastel! Even better.

The tubs I use don't have a special locking mechanism on them other than the lid clipping on to the sides. I can also pull the sides of the lid at the most flexible part and there is absolutely no room for the snake to squeeze out.

I have never had an escape.

If you want to be safe, go for some clips. It just means its more of a hassle to get the lid off. But if they are happy and feel safe they probably won't try escaping so much.

I'd stick with clips and stay away from cords, they're a pain in the a$$.
