"Since I know you have a zoo at your house with those reptiles and such..."
It looks like I'll be fostering raccoon kits come Monday when I get back from vacation. Whenever someone who knows me runs into something different, it seems to end up here. Anyone else have that problem because they have reptiles? My coworker's mother-in-law found 3 raccoon kits in her yard. When they didn't move for a couple days, she finally figured out they were abandoned and brought them in. Apparently I'm the person to go to simply because I own snakes. Luckily, I used to do wildlife rehab in Missouri so I know how to handle them until the shelter has space but you wouldn't believe what I've been handed over the years (raccoons, opossums, squirrels, birds, rabbits...) simply because I own snakes. People seem to think that means I can take on whatever animals they run across and will know exactly what to do with them... As soon as I get them, I'll post pics. For anyone who's ever raised baby raccoons, you know how adorable they are!

    I know what you mean!
All of my friends call me when an animal is in need.
Ive rehabbed a crow, 2 snapping turtles, a catbird, 4 baby rabbit, handfed chickadees, and richardsons ground squirrels.
I normally have a busy summer lol
