    Cool BP finds at petsmart/petco?
Recently I saw someone said they found a yellow belly in a petsmart, made me wonder if anyone else has found any unique or a hidden morphs at these places.

Lets try not to get into the discussion of whether to buy from chain stores or not, it's brought up enough in other threads.

One of the PetSmarts around me has pastels (very low grade) and yellowbellies on occasion. I haven't bought from them but have seen them for sale. The ones I saw were WAAAAAY overpriced and were listed as "fancy" ball pythons. Hahahahaha! I mean, for the ones I saw a turd's a turd but whatever...call it fancy if you like, I guess, lol!

I actually stumbled upon and bought this little guy this week from PetSmart: http://imgur.com/a/KfSJa

I usually never buy animals from the pet stores, but my local PetSmart isn't too terrible. Their bp's are usually a little dehydrated and a bit underfed, but their other reptiles aren't that bad.

Anyway, I saw this guy (fingers crossed that it's a male; it's a little too small to properly sex right now) and couldn't resist. When I first saw the spots on his nose and how vibrant his oranges are (my camera really didn't do him justice) I just had to take him out for a better look. When I was handling him, I flipped him over to find that his belly is crystal clear, the only checkers being after the vent, and two faded ones after the 'belly button' (which has a little bit of yellow crust... dunno what to think of it.)
I looked up some spotnoses to see if maybe this thing could possibly be one, and I still am not quite sure. I would love to say yes, but he IS from a pet store... Only one way to find out. ;)

Hope "he" proves out for you; good luck! And just out of curiosity, is that a lion mount you have in some of those photos? Can just see the eye and part of what I think is the mane...?

Hahahah, yeah, that's my lion mask. XD I bought it because I really like lions and it seemed a good idea at the time... Still have no regrets about it. :P

HAHAHAHAHA! That's awesome! Never know when that might come in handy, lol! I was going to be super impressed if you'd been to the Dark Continent and gone on safari to get one...but the mask is no less impressive, just in a different way, lol! Store, shopping...that can absolutely qualify as a safari and definitely as a hunt, especially the day after Thanksgiving! :D

Not an expert on the spotnose but dont see it in your little guy. I've been doing a lot of studying on the more subltle morphs as of late. and as for sexing I know some breeders pop them right out of the egg and I wait until after they have the first shed. so it should be good to go on sexing. I have a c.h. male from a baby bag that looks very simular. I'm keeping him back to try and prove him out as something. lol
    good luck

A baby is never too small to sex. I pop them as soon as they come out.
Secondly. Not a spotnose. He's got all the wrong color and wrong head stamp. Heres my male spotnose

With spotnoses it all about that headstamp mainly. They have a very very distinct mark on their heads.

So we should cut PETCO and PetSmart some slack for pee pee poor husbandry, underfed animals, and price gouging, as long as we find cool things there?

Sorry OP, it's a little like saying show me the really cool coins you stole from the homeless guy on the street corner, but let's not get into a discussion about rolling bums for money.
