Do you think she needs to go to the vet? Small wound
My female has a small wound on her nose from escaping her tub. It was about 2 weeks ago and I noticed it the day after. I just left her alone since it was only 1-2 scales that were hanging off and it was minor. I just waited until she would shed since I assumed it would come off with the shed. Today, it looks really dry and scabbing and she whistles when she exhales. There's no visible hole or anything. She doesn't have an RI, the whistle noise is just from this wound. I looked inside her mouth and it was normal. I covered the wound with my finger to test it and there was no noise coming out when I did this. Do you think she needs a trip to the vet? I can take her but I figured I'll ask first since the only good herp vet is about 45 min-1 hour away. Here are some pics. Thanks.

It looks to be minor. Wish her a speedy recovery.

I don't think a vet is necessary, I would keep the cage as clean as possible, make sure the temps are spot on, and keep the humidity at least 60%

Aside from that keep an eye on the injury (I doubt that infection will be an issue, but keep an eye out anyway)

If you suspect infection you should get some Betadine. At no point should you apply neosporin or any other oil based cream as they do more harm than good in the long run.

Looks like it is already healing up. I don't think a vet would tell you anything other than keep an eye on it and keep it clean. Doesn't look infected or anything.

I had my big normal get bit right on the head by a rat, it bled a little and she had a mark about that size for a few sheds, but now you can't even tell!

Thanks everyone! I will keep an eye on her and raise the humidity. The wound itself didn't worry me, it was mostly the whistling noise that I wasn't sure about. I haven't applied anything on her but I have some betadine on hand if needed.

I dont think a vet visit is necesary. Looks to be minor and should clear up in 2-3 sheds or so. As Aaron said i would keep the cage very clean, maybe put her on paper towels if youre really concerned.

Yup, what everyone else says. It looks minor, isn't infected and is healing itself. Keep clean and you should be all set.
