At what age will morph be visible?
So we have baby Tremper albino leos, het for blizzard. At what age will the change to look like momma? (tremper?). My local herp store says they are non visible morphs, and offered me a ridiculously low amount for them. Guess I will have to learn how to ship them and go kingsnake route. Here they are..http://img.tapatalk.com/aefdc57c-558f-acc3.jpg

Im no expert in leos but the temper albino pattern should start to show up shorty. I'd say a month and their pattern will already drastically change. I have 6 month old juveys and their pattern is STILL changing! Its super fun to watch leos grow.

I would never sell to a petstore, they low ball the breeders to make the most profit and they dont care who they sell to as long as they make the sale.
And could I suggest faunaclassifieds.com instead of kingsnake.com? :P check it out

Those hatchling bands will break apart every shed. As they grow the bands become the spots. Pet stores are only out to make money. So yes they will always low ball you. Not a good way to go if you are trying to get top dollar.

It wasn't a big chain store, it was my local herp only shop. I was just shocked at the offer he made me. I'm just worried about shipping a live animal. Gonna learn I guess though. Thanks :)

Its not hard to ship I just shipped two trempers last week. They usually start to show at about 3 months of age.

Most pet stores buy at breeder or bulk pricing. Then they raise the price to make money. That's why buying from breeders is cheaper then stores. The stores already paid that price so now they gotta make money.
