Thanks much! I've gotten quite a few compliments on him since I bought him. I'm hoping his looks/color will pass on to his offspring. This is only his first clutch, but I've got lots of opportunities to find out this season! ;) If the Odd Gods are with me, I should have at least 5 pastels, and maybe I can see how well his genes pass on. Knowing my luck though, I'll get one pastel. haha

Thanks much! I kinda like the neck/tail striping on him . . . the female normal kinda has it too, so I'm wondering if that will present itself in the babies. LOL It would definitely be nice, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up just in case it doesn't. ;)

Is that a kitty litter box you used as a nest box? smart idea! :gj:
Thanks! Yep, it is the small cat litter pans. I had issues finding a nesting box large enough for my big girls (over 3,000 grams). The "large" nest boxes you find commercially might house a 1,500-2,000 gram girl, if you're lucky. LOL So I set out to make some myself. I'd been using the small cat litter pans as hides for my big girls anyway, since that was prior to me finding that Reptile Basics makes larger hides. Anyway, I started wondering about making a nest box using them, since it would make it easier for me to remove mom from the eggs if she's out of her stackable cage. So I bought a second pan (the first already had a doorway cut into it) and merely used the second one as a bottom; I made one hole on either side of the pan's lips so I could thread a string through to secure the two together, and viola! Homemade nest boxes that are inexpensive and effective. :P Because to date, every girl that I've given a nest box to has used it. She feels secure, and it makes it easier on me to get mom off the eggs without stressing her quite so much (especially since simply pulling her off of her eggs has got to be stressful enough--if I was pulling her this way and that and trying to re-arrange all the time trying to work her around everything while still making sure the eggs aren't getting jostled, I'm sure she wouldn't be very happy with me ;)).

Amanda (punkymom):
Thanks much! They are due to hatch somewhere around July 11th. Don't really have any holdbacks in mind for this clutch, though if I hatched out a stellar-looking pastel female, I'd probably keep her (If I can find space for another snake haha). I'm already holding back a female albino that just hatched, and I'm expecting my female ghost to lay around the 19th of this month, of which I need a male spider from to hold back (she was bred to a spider). So two holdbacks this year are fairly certain (unless my ghost doesn't give a male spider). I have the hatchling space, just not the adult-snake space for another one. ;) I've got the spider and albino adult-spaces already planned out, but not for an extra. haha She'd have to be a really over-the-top, exceptional pastel for me to keep one. :gj:
