Building a fake wall

Has anyone here experimented with this suff?
I looking/reading on Reptileforums.com,how to build a fake rock wall for reptile cages, after this is done and cured/dried is it easy to maintain, does it ever pose a threat to the reptile?
I also am questioning the color insert technique

Another place to research such techniques is in model railroading books and magazines, as creating false scenery is very much a part of that hobby. Most hobby shops that sell model railroading supplies will even sell molds for everything from cliff type rocks to block walls.

As far as the suitability of such things for use around animals, that I'm not familiar with.
