    Feeding Schedule Q's
Ok. So I've had my bp about a week now. I bought him from my local family owned pet store. There were 2 bps there. One was about idk a foot and half long and another about 3 feet long. The owner told me they both were eating great but the smaller one could be somewhat "fiesty". Being as I am a new keeper and the bigger one was only $10 more I chose the 3 foot "nice" one lol. He told me the one I got was a hair over a year old and it was feeding it 1 small rat every 2 weeks. I wanted to get your opinions as to how often I should feed it. Also, I weighed it yesterday and it weights exactly 750 grams...Is that an ok weight for a 1 year old snake? Today was the 6th day I've owned the snake and I noticed it was somewhat moving around more in the tub and I read that sometimes they will do that when they are hungry. So I go pick up a small rat and put it in the tub...Within about 5 seconds the snake struck and grabbed the rat and that was that. How long should I wait before another meal. Sorry about the novel, wanted to be somewhat thorough.

Also. Sorry about calling the snake "it" all the time...I want to name it, but I dont know what to call it because I dont know if it's M/F. (bugging me)

    Daybreaker
I feed my adults every week, and my smaller guys every 5 days. Some of my smaller ones (around the same size as your guy) I still have on a 5 day schedule. A week would be fine though too. Hard to say what a "good" size would be for a year old as they all grow at different rates: as long as he's healthy and eating good I wouldn't worry about how he grows. Some just grow slower while some hit lots of spurts and grow quickly - even when they're fed on the same schedule.

I'd say 750g for a year old snake is pretty good! A small rat once weekly is perfect. Every two weeks might be stretching it a little bit.

Nevermind that. I'll just use photobucket.

Here's one I took right after I got home with it. I'll get another pic of me holding it in a couple of days so you can actually get a better idea of the size. Just a normal bp, nothing fancy...But I love it!
