Before I go animal plastics are these good to use as they are cheaper?

Those look heavy and crappy to clean. I think animal plastics or boaphile, while being more expensive, are worth it. I have a boaphile cage and I really like it. Looks great, easy to clean, and light weight.

Also, that cage is probably much bigger than what you need for an adult ball python.

See I wasn't sure because the diminssions were around where I have read for them to be. They say easy to clean but I didnt think about the weight of it. I liked the the fold down style of the door is what realy got me w/ wood finish.

I would stick with a smaller AP cage.

Yeah, it says 3/4" melamine, which is pretty heavy. If you like the look of them, and don't mind the weight then by all means, go for it!

My preference personally is something lighter, made of plastic, and a little bit smaller. I also don't really like wood, but if you do that's cool!

The AP cages are made from controlled density PVC, PVC is var superiour to melamine in almost every way. I would stick with the AP cage.

I use wood racks and they aren't without fault. AP racks are better imo. however when you need several and on a budget the wood will work. the biggest thing i think is the ap racks are lighter if you need to move them and they are easier to sanitize vs wood. however i have found that my AP racks are a little difficult to slide the tubs in and out w/o spilling water unless you are very careful but they are a few years old.

Yea I am not doing a rack system , I have talked it over with my wife and she likes the AP more and said like myself how good they can be set up ( she saw Aarons set-up and loves it too lol) so now after I pay on my car in Jun . I will be ordering a AP with a light fixture and a 8 inch round screen , sliding acrylic doors and lock, and flexwatt total price $309 for the T3. After I get it all setup I will be posting picks come Aug I guess with shipping time .

Those melamine cages are very heavy. And as they ar 140.00 you need to figure the cost of shipping as well. Those are monsters to ship. Personally i would go with a plastic cage. They hold heat and humidity way better. I personally use freedom breeders for the convienance of having alot of tubs in one rack but if somone would come out with big plastic units id jump all over it.
