    Unintentional field herping.
    So tonight I was driving along when I found a giant box turtle. It was a female, I didn't have a measuring tape with me but placed her on my arm and measured it when I got the chance. She came out to 7 & 1/4" roughly. The record for the largest ever found is 7 & 13/16".

    I also found this little guy (or girl)

    I brought it inside to snap a few pics. Now it's back where nature intended it, frolicking in the woods.

    That's awesome!! There was a toad out in my backyard a couple weeks ago. Very neat to see nature sustaining itself.

    I love finding herps accidentally... unfortunately, that's the only time I can ever find them. :rolleyes:

    Same here, usually find them when I am fishing.

    Beautiful little frog :) We found a frog once trying to climb the sliding glass door, but kept getting stopped because the dog was smashing his nose against it :rolleyes: Collected him and set him somewhere safer in the front yard.
