Escapee! Help!

I know all the usual tricks to catching escaped snakes. Plastic bags, flour, soda bottles, webcams, rats in boxes, etc. But none of them have ever worked for me with my past 2 escapees. I found Ramses just completely by chance, and I found Mozart 6 months later when it was already too late.

So any tips on finding a 5 ft Irian Jaya with a SERIOUS attitude problem before she attacks my dog?

I'd be more worried about the dog attacking the snake..

I agree I would be more worried for the snake. I see a pattern of escapes here....

My dog is a total chicken and the snake is a little BAMF. One strike and the dog will take off to the other end of the house.

The other two escapes were from the same tank, and I haven't used that tank since. This one was just me being stupid and not closing the cage properly.

put a heat lamp out..... that might help.

Not to be rude but these comments over whether or not the dog or snake is at bigger risk aren't helping me find her any sooner. Help me so she doesn't bite the dog, or so the dog doesn't bite her, or so she doesn't find her way outside or whatever gets her back in her cage the quickest.

You seem to have tried what folks are going to suggest. You can look back through the catalog of escapee threads to see if something else pops up.

I would look up and warm.

Sorry, I meant to specify in my original post but I guess I forgot. I'm asking if anyone has any tips that apply to carpets especially.

I dont think carpets are much different than other snakes when it comes to finding them...
Look up and in warm places as jinx said. I would also start trying some of the usual tricks
