First Snake!

I got my new baby on Wednesday, and decided that since he had left me a nice present in the tub that he was brought in that I'd feed him last night. So I did, and he took a hopper mouse for me. (I do plan on switching to rats, but my store manager has a hard time selling rats for food. I'll find a different supplier soon.)

I asked my manager for a ball python, and he ordered me a 'python' and I got a carpet python. Different than what I was expecting, but as soon as I saw him I fell in love. I'll just enjoy my 'little' carpet.

He's about 2 feet long, and I don't know his weight since I didn't weigh him. I should have when I got him, but I didn't think about it at the time. I'll manage to weigh him next time.

Here's the 'little' guy! He hisses whenever I put my hands in his aquarium, but he hasn't struck at me yet.

Thanks for the move! Sorry for posting in the wrong area. o.o

If it is an IJ do not feed it mice. They have a rep for not switching over if they are fed mice. Most carpets aren't to difficult to switch but IJ's are know to be lifetime mousers if fed them too long. Not saying its impossible to switch, but they are known not to.

Awesome looking snake. Carpets are one of my favs. Yours looks nice.
