    Frozen bunny prices
    Hey guys,

I'm looking to pick up 10 frozen bunnies at the next expo. Just moved my Boas up to 1.75 lb bunnies.. I don't have any experience with buying FT rabbits at expos. Does anyone have an idea how much I should expect to pay? I wanna make sure I bring enough cash. Cheers, Chris.

I have seen "small" rabbits in the $8-$15 range. There doesn't seem to be as much of a stable price with rabbits like with rats. Depending on prices and availability, keep proper sized Guinea Pigs in mind also. They can be quite a bit cheaper than rabbits sometimes. And by some accounts they are easier to digest!

Hey hey, not sure what the prices at the show will be but I'd say somewhere between $7 - $10dollars based on our area. I can call the shop I get my rodents from to see what their prices are, they open after 10am.

Here is Rodent Pro pricing, pricing is likely lower as they are in the states.

    Extra Small - 224-447 grams =$5 each
    Small - 448-895 grams =$6 each
    Medium - 896g-1.79kg =$7 each

I'd find a supplier that will be at the expo and order ahead of time. I have limited expo experience, but I usually only see mice and up to med rats as the vendors have limited freezer space. You can find the one with the lowest prices, too.

    Hey Guys,

Yeah I buy all of my Norway Hooded rats at expos because I can get 10 mammoth/ XXL rats there, 10 for $30.00. And my Pups cost $1.00 as opposed to $3.00 at the shop. I have a great ASF supplier in the area so I don't bother with the expo ASF..

I recently moved up to bunnies for the Boas but I am paying $11.00 a bunny at the shop.

If it's gonna cost me $100.00 for 10 I'd rather just get 4 and try and find a local supplier.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys,

    :)

Personally, I don't buy at expos. A lot of times you don't know where they came from. It could have been raised in a wire cage in a shed full of poop and pee. They could have been starved until a few days before killed and that means that they are NOT good for your snake. I feed my garter Gourmet Rodent pinkies.

Under 2lbs is $4. Anything over is an extra $2 per pound. Great prices and only 6 dollar shipping at Gourmetrodent.com
