    Stupid bp owner!!!
And idiots like this "owner" are the reason we all get a bad rap. This happened a few towns away from where I live. I don't know if I'm more frustrated by the owner's stupidity, or the ignorant comments that the public made after reading the story. I have half a mind to call animal control and see if I can adopt the poor thing.

 grrrr people are soooo stupid sometimes! The combination of people turning exotic pets loose and public ignorance is the exact reason why the new bill was passed in Ohio. People who dont know the truth should not make comments. I was raised with this quote "its easy for an ignorant person to seem wise by simply saying nothing at all, and a wise person can seem ignorant by simply opening his mouth"

Personally, I can't stand birds as pets. But does that give me the right to say "Birds shouldn't be pets! Make a law banning all birds as pets!"???? Absolutely not! And should the fact that I have a mortal fear of most creepy crawlies be reason enough to ban others from having T's???? NO!

Different strokes for different folks. It's all about being responsible.

    Ughhh.

Kudos to Rabernet for setting them straight and providing educational information to the many comments that were made.

I liked this one... Keep in mind we are talking Ball Pythons here...

    Quote:

"What a lot of people don't realize is a lot of these snakes are dangerous to our ecosystem. They compete with top predators for food. These pythons have been able to reproduce and flourish, and in the Everglades, they compete with alligators and Florida panthers for food, thus ruining the food chain. And that also ruins the tourist economy because people go to the Everglades to see alligators, Florida panthers, pelicans, et cetera, not pythons."

it's just another case of people believing that everyone should have the same beliefs/values as them. You see it in almost every aspect of life. Sad. :(

Yeah, you need a permit for a ball, but not a Boa. Go figure. Gotta love NJ.
