Switching from pre-killed to F/T Rats
Hello I have a Question for all. My ball pythons are currently eating small-medium Rats Pre-Killed. My Question is will it have difficult to switch them from pre-killed to F/T I want to Switch so I can feed them every 6 Days because they need to put on some weight there a little low for the age and weight. Any advice will be helpful Thaks

Honestly, no one can answer this but your snake. Some will switch no problem, others will NEVER take f/t.

How old are they and how many grams are they? What size are you feeding them? Switching to f/t won't change their growth rate, only larger and/or more frequent meals will do this. Both of which you can do with live, p/k or f/t. Most breeders/keeps will recommend feeding your snake 10-15% of its body weight every 5-7 days for growing/younger/breeding balls.

Sorry took a while to reply. They are 2 years old there both about 3ft long the girl is 430grams and my boy is 600 grams. I want to switch to F/T because I'm getting busy with school and I can't continue to go the the store to buy the rats I have to take a train just to get them but thanks for the advice ill try to get them on F/T and see if one or both get into F/T. They are eating Rats that are 90-130Grams and they take them down like monsters.
