Escaped Ball Python

Any suggestions on how to get an escaped snake back. I believe she is still in the snake room somewhere. There is a hole in the wall that I neglected to seal up. I think she is in there, but I have to no of telling until I buy a directional mirror. Should try a mouse in a tub? She's not a very big snake, about 300+ grams. I don't think she left the room. Non of my cats are stalking any spot in particular.

Just in case she did leave the room, i would get a tub, put a warm thawed mouse in it, make sure the tub is on its side, put a lamp on the tub, with a hide in it too, and if she did leave the room, put some flour in the doorway and dont step in it, it will be messy. Good luck!

If you think it hasn't left the room then check by all the heat sources, around the other tubs, rack, tanks, whatever your set up is and dont forget any electronics that may be emmitting heat.

Check under the other drawers on the rack, in addition to around the heat sources of any other cages in the room.

Check in tiny, absurd places, and in all the places you're really not sure the snake could end up.

The advice offered of leaving out the food and heated hide was good, that can help as well. Just keep looking! At my current apartment, my few escapees have always just escaped and immediately gone under the next tub up to hide between the tub and the gap where the heat cable goes. I had one female escape from her egg laying tub and into an open tub the next rack over (that was quite a surprise when I went to put a snake in the "empty" tub that night!).

And don't give up. :) Have patience! A few years ago my yellowbelly escaped while I was housing my collection in my old house's garage. That garage was not in any way sealed up to prevent escapes, and I was devastated, figuring she was long gone when I couldn't find her the first day she was gone. A month later, I hear this girly, high pitched scream from my male roommate in the garage - she'd crawled across his bare foot while he was out in the garage looking for a tool. They do inevitably turn up!
