New Rack System- too high of humidity
So I'm working on getting my rack up and going with Temps and Humidity Correct. Temps getting close to right around 90 over flex watt with a rheostat control and thermostat. Cool side is sitting around 80 so my tubs staying plenty warm. Humidity though..... A desert like 80%.....(Sarcasm) Keep drilling holes in the Tub? I have about 25 in each end spaced in three rows. 41 qt tubs FYI. A few along the side towards the top. A row of five holes in the back of the rack system itself to help with air flow. the rack is solid except the open front. More holes I assume. Water dish is on the smaller side but still plenty for the snake. Maybe add some of these to the rack?

    Thanks for the help

the only holes that really will do anything on an enclosed rack are the ones on the front of the tubs. Ventilating the rack might help, but my guess is that it would be minimal.

    More holes smaller water dish

What substrate are you using? if you are using something like cypress or Eco-Earth then you might want to tryt aspen or paper, as these do not hold humidity in as much.

Nothing as far as bedding. Just a water dish, probably will use newspaper unless I get the humidity down and need aspen or coco. I put some more holes in one and it went down to about 70. Still a little high though. Guess I won't have to worry about proper ventilation.

my cages stay at 60% all the time, and I haven't had any issues, so I would try to get it a little lower 60%-65% would be ideal
