    Nice cheap tongs for feeding
Don't know if this is the right location for this post and to the administrators at BPN, please feel free to move it if you have a more appropriate spot.
Just wanted to share this as I know that alot of people use tongs for feeding. We found these at IKEA and the are ideal as well as cheap.

The black plastic tips even have some small nubs that give a substantially better grip on a rats tail.

Fortunately I was born with tongs built into my hands. I know, lucky me lol. Those tongs look pretty nice and a need a new set for T feeding. If it isn't venomous I feed by hand though.

BBQ tongs at the dollar store just smooth any shape edges. Hemostats used can also be very cheap 3-7$ new ones are hardly expensive anyway 12-25$.

I use BBQ tongs myself. Cheaper and often gives a better grip than some "feeding tongs" I've tried. Also, hemostats sometimes lock up(as they are designed to do), making it hard to turn loose of the prey animal at the right time. Plus the little circle finger grips are annoying to me so the tongs just fit the use.

So far I've been feeding without tongs. Though I always wear leather gloves to protect myself from any nipping from snake or rodent.

However when I get around to picking u p a FWC, then I will have tongs.

I use needle nose pliers, at some point I really just need to suck it up and order the real thing lol.

I often suggest chopsticks if you have the right dex bonus - With a little looking around you can find what are called "Cooking Chopsticks" which are very long and usually have the ends linked with some rope. They are awesome and you never have to worry about the bamboo on a miss strike.

Those of us who can get a little closer (geckos/beardies/etc) can get by with normal chopsticks. LOL I've lost track of the times I've talked to someone from here to eternity that insists they have to hand feed because they can't afford a set of tongs for their lizard. :weirdface
