Humidity Problems in my sterilite Tub
I have had snakes before but its been a while...... also never ha BP's

never worried about humidity or temp with any of my 3 snakes i had when i was growing up, just a hot side w/ a hide and a water bowl on the other end..

ive watched post after post after post on Youtube about sterilite tubs and thats the direction im going because i plan to try breeding in a couple of years when my babies grow up...

they also talk about how to remedy low humidity which i feel i have mastered w/ my tetra fauna cage Ive got for my male spider bp...

my problem now is my 28 quart sterilite tub i have for my female mojo. I have 8 holes in a circular pattern on each end of the cage, and numerous (ABOUT 24) around the sides.

i cant get it below 90... last night she was in a 16 quart and it was almost 100 and would drop no matter the amount of holes. was hoping moving her up to the next size tub would rectify it, but it still sits at about 91.

if you guys think thats ok (at least for the quaratine) then i will relax but its driving me crazy. I have been waiting for a mojo baby girl for almost a year and i dont wanna hurt her.

any help would be appreciated. The other quadry i have is my humidity DROPPING in my TetraFauna Deluxe while my uva is on during the day. i need it for the heat tho cause until my bonus room in my house gets completed he has to stay where he is. wont go above 75 on the hot side without it.

ok i will quit whining now lol.. thanks for any imput.

I would ditch the bark and go with newspaper, at least until you get the humidity under control...

Thanks man. Its fortunate that its dropping finally. Just checked on her and it was @ 85. Trying not to bother her too much cause she is new (quarantine) and looks to be coming in shed. Very Grumpy Lil girl right now

How big is the water dish on the high humidity one? If you can downsize that will help drop it. I agree with sho to ditch the cypress since it holds moisture well. If you do want something you can try aspen. I had reptibark in mine which isn't as bad as cypress and couldn't drop below 75% or so. I now have aspen and the tubes hold steady at 55-65%
