temp issue in rack

i just recently finished building my 1st 5 tub snake rack ive got 4" belly heat across the back the temp reads 90f but the front of the tubs are reading 78-79 i dont know if thats good or not but i wouldnt want my snakes getting sick or something how would i b able to keep the temp up in the cool side.

i got the rack in my garage so the temp is a little low due to it raining outside when its sunny its around 80f could this be why my temps are low on 1 side

From what ive learned the front of the tub is only going to be heated from the environment unless you insulate your rack. So the room tempts need to be the temperature you want the front of your tanks to be.This is information i have gathered from other posts so im sure someone will have better information from personal experience. But Another solution would be to get a second thermostat and run another row of flexwatt at the appropriate temps.

i was planing on buying a small heater to keep the temps up..anyone else's advice would be appreciated.

Those temps are fine for the cool side really, provided they don't drop any lower.

If you you feel like it's an issue, though, you could get an oil-filled space heater hooked up to a t-stat to up the general temperature of the room.

The ideal ranges are 88-92 hot side, 78-82 cool side.

So your tubs are perfect for now at least. A lot of people have issues with racks in garages (unless they are climate controlled)

well only today the temp dropped because its raining but it should get warmer texas tends to be hot during this time so the ambient temp should rise when it stops raining i was a bit worried but if the low temps are ok at 78-80 on cool side then it makes me feel better..
