    Joining the Ball Game
I've always had a love for snakes and had a desire to breed them. In the past I've always had a snake, but have not been able to keep any for the past couple of years due to an apt. complex with no pet policy. I'm moving back to Oklahoma and I am going to be in a house next year where I can have animals and want to start breeding balls. I'm looking at this as a hobby, investment, and mostly fun. I've got 2500 to invest right now, for everything (snakes, cages, etc.). I've done quite a bit of research on different morphs, but wanted some opinions on the best way to invest that money. I was thinking that 4 snakes would be the best to start. I don't want any more than that right now, but would be open to the idea of less. Looking for opinions. Please let me know what you think.
    -Thanks

Buy the rack + thermostat first. Then buy a champagne male and 2 proven breeder females. Try to get a group price and maybe you can get 2 females for 200 or 250.

Certainly take care of your racks and heat first, then invest in a double gene male (like a Spinner, KingPin or Enchi Lesser) and three females (like a Spider, a Pastel, and a Lesser). You could make all kinds of cool snakes with a crew like that.

Don't forget to set aside a little for pop up Vet bills.

Get the set up for them first. I have had friends buy snakes without anything to house them in so they end up scrambling around trying to figure it out. I bought some big breeder females normals and a spinnerblast for starters. and from there you just add as necessary. And the above ideas are also great! Kingpins are awesome too.
