Incubating at lower temp...how much longer?
So I've been incubating between 87.5 - 88 degrees. How much longer than the traditional 60 days can I expect my eggs to go? They're on day 49 now and it's KILLING MEEEEE!!!! Lol

Really...Its not Christmas....I understand you being impatient but its a hurry up and wait game we play....At that temp they should start pipping at or around day 60...but you already knew that...
But if you keep opening your incubator every 5 minutes it could be 80 to 90 days....just kidding.

I think this is a legitimate question. Just because someone is excited about the hatch date doesnt mean they are impatient or opening their incubator every 10 seconds like a little kid. I'm pretty darn excited too and I only check on mine twice a week, nothing wrong with a little excitement. And yes it is Christmas.:colbert:

X2, lol. I have a glass door AND a light in mine. I take a peek at LEAST once a day.
Are you gonna cut, cut after first pip, or let them all pip when ready? If youre gonna cut i think you would be safe by day 60 if they havent already started on their own.

I've sort of made the decision that if they've all been pipped for awhile and there's 1 or 2 that haven't yet I'll cut those. But I'm hoping they'll all come on their own.

If you don't feel comfortable about cutting then don't...if you feel you must after some have pipped please watch several videos on how to do it. Constrictors Unlimited has a 5 minute video on how to cut eggs....I have done it a lot and Im still not comfortable doing it. Just be carful and good luck.

I incubate between 87.5 and 88.0 degrees and majority of my eggs hatch between day 58-60... Hope this helps :)
