AP Racks - When to move up
I have a juvie rack that I'm keeping my current 6 snakes in, and I need (hehe, well want) to get another rack to of course, fill with more snakes. Now, my current 6 are hitting close to 400g each... How long before I need to put them in 41 quart tubs? Since I want to order another rack, I'm wondering if I should just order an adult and switch them over, saving the 6 slot juvie rack for my pick ups this summer.

I'd ask Ali, but I figure someone on here may know already. Thanks!! :)

You are still quite a ways from needing a 41 at 400g.

You may be able switch them over without a problem, but you may need to put in extra hides or something to fill some space.

I do not plan on getting a 41qt rack for my females until they get to 1500g or so.

Okay thanks. I have two medium RBI hides in there, plus a water dish, and it's just kinda snug. I dunno how snug is too snug :)

I know some might disagree with me....
but I have 2 different large girls (2000g+) and they hated the 41 qt tubs! They both became very skittish, and stopped eating. So after a couple of weeks I put them back in their old tubs! So I would not rush the big tubs...

    Again just my .02......
