Simple rack questions

Do people keep adult/breeding females in 32 qt sterilites? How many grams do people typically keep small snakes in the 15 qt sterilites until?

It seems like a lot of the tubs can be hard to find or aren't made anymore. Any recommended racks where that isn't the case?

RBI uses 32 qt IRIS tubs for medium racks (think adult males) and uses 41 qt CB-70 tubs for large racks (adult females). Those tub types/sizes have not changed in quite some time.

Personally, I think I'd move a female up to a 41 qt from a 32 qt around 1800 ish grams.

CB70 (41QT) racks are very common and tubs are easy to find. I use these for my adults/breeders and house some smaller girls 800/900g in there with no issues at all.

rubbermaid and steralite seem to change shapes every few years. Rubbermaid look to have discontinued the 32 qt low tub for a 31 taller one or a 32 very tall one. Steralite also look to be following with a taller, smaller foot print 32. I can't say about iris they are not readily available where I am.

Personally I am working on a design for a new rack and looking at making my own tubs as my frustration with the commercial ones is at a breaking point.

The dimensions are SLIGHTLY off but the height is the same according to the dimensions...

Do the 41 qt sterilites fit in the racks made for cb70? I can only find these cb70 tubs on amazon for 25 bucks a pop...

I have 41qt Sterilites in my CB70 rack and fit is good. I also have some VISION CB70 tubs that are thicker and have more of a square bottom that fit quite nice.

Anyone have specific experience fitting the sterilite 41 qts into the ECONOMY animal plastics cb70 rack? my concern is that an edge will hang .5 in or something and create a gap where the snake can leverage the tub out of place.

To me it depends how the animal does, I have moved 500 grams females in 41 quarts tubs but I have also kept 1000 grams ones in 15 quarts tubs, those are not the norm it's based on individual behavior, generally speaking girls 1500 grams and over go in 41 quarts tubs.

Also depends on the rack itself, open or enclosed rack etc.

As for males I have 2 males right now that are in the 750 / 850 grams range and they are in 15 quarts tubs while all the other some with similar size are in 32 quarts tubs.

They make racks to accommodate sterilite and/or iris tubs for a reason ;)

On the Animal Plastics website, they have the CB70 rack and the 41qt Sterilite rack listed separately. I probably should have just looked at the overall dimensions of comparable racks to see that they're the same :P Thanks!
