    Is it bad if I use hand sanitizer before I handle my snake?

    I wash my hands with a mild soup and water then use a hand sanitizer before and after I deal with my snakes

    ps. Are you talking about handling your new snakes? I just got my first ball python as well and was told I should wait at least 2 weeks to handle unless its to clean the cage or maintenance.

    Just wanted to make sure you dont stress out our new balls :gj:

    I wash my hands with soap and water before and after handling. If I am going to be handling more than one snake, then I will use hand sanitizer between each handling session...

    I have the industrial Sam's Club size hand sanitizer sitting on top of the rack. I use it before and after.

    Yes I am I couldn't resist, I held them for about 5 minutes but they just stayed balled up.
