What do you think about putting a Beardie in an AP T8?
Hey everyone, this is for all of the bearded dragon owners out there. I've already talked to someone about it, but I just wanna hear what the rest of the world has to say :D

I am getting a T8 for my ball soon, and would love to get one for my beardie to stack on top of one another. I did the math and a T8 is the equivalent to 59 gallons, plenty big enough for one adult bearded dragon. It is 4'x2'x1'. I would love to get this because it is very light, and a 55 gallon glass aquarium is EXTREMELY heavy. Here is a link to the website: http://www.animalplastics.com/ (click "terrestrial cages" then "T8"). I would get an 8" circle screen cut out for the heat lamp, then a 20" cut out for more ventilation. I would love to get something taller, but most of the taller cages are wayyy more expensive.
So what do you guys think?? Does anyone else use AP for their beardeds? Would this be a good setup?

    Thanks a ton :)

As long as you can put both heat lamps and UVB in it should be fine. I use a custom cage for my beardies but I don't see any major issues with that as long as you can put the lamps in.

Oh yeah definitely. I'll have a screen cut out on top for the heat lamp, then get a fixture to out the UVB on the inside of the cage.

I think I too would probably ideally go for something a little taller (like 15-18"), but there's nothing wrong with the T8 at all. That should work perfectly fine. :)
