trick to get stubborn ball to eat.
I saw a clip on you tube from "Snakebytes.TV" and the guy on he video giving tips said he scents the mouse with tuna fish, although he was using a corn snake I was wondering if that would work with a ball as well???? any thoughts?

That tip has been floating around for quite some time. Not sure what the origin of it is, but it certainly predates my time in the hobby.

As for the effectiveness with BPs, a former GF of mine used this technique with a very picky female a couple of years back, and it worked. I've heard others have tried it without the same success.

I have done it with my Hognose male...sometimes he wont eat for a week or two then I dip a hop in Tuna fish juice and he tears it up. Will eat fine for a month without it and then I have to do it again.
Give it try and let us know if it works.

Would you suggest dipping the rat in the tuna juice or just keeping the rat/juice in a sealed container to absorb the smell?
