Just got my first BP yesterday. When I put him in his cage he was very active. It is evening again and he is still in his hide. The temperatures appear to be correct and humidity is good. Just wondering if, since it is winter, he is being lazy. Or is it just a little early yet in the evening for him to be about? Thanks,

    Jeremy

    HI Jeremy,
Welcome to the group. This is a great place to ask as many questions as needed.
In my own opinion, I would think as he is a new snake to you and new to his home it will take a little while for him to acclimate. He will probably hide for a while. Don't worry he'll come out of his hide when he is ready.
Do you have any pictures of him. Post them if you do
    We love to see pictures
    Thanks

Just got mine last friday.........he's been doing the same thing for the past couple days. Ate a mouse and straight to the heat pad hide he went! Is frustrating! Just get them and all you want to do is stare at them for hours..............lol

just fyi Jeremy, don't expect your snake to be but so active. Even the wildest bp's are slow and calm, compared to other snakes... colubrids for example.
