Am i Screwed ---- egg update day 57
I posted on here a few weeks back about my 2 clutches of eggs which suffered a Huge temperature spike for 24 hours of 98 degrees. One clutch is now on day 57 and still looking good .. the other is on day 23 and showing great veins too.

My question is .. the temp has steadily been running at 88.5 ish apart from the temp spike obviously. Im debating on wether to cut or not. They all candle really clear with strong veins and you can see the babies moving.. if i hadnt had the temp spike and since been worried about deformities i would just let nature take its course but would you interviene?

If you want to cut at day 57, then be careful and cut. It should be fine. If you see veins and movement, they are probably doing fine and will pip on their own. Either way, it sounds like you're good.

x2. Sounds like they are fine. You should see them pipping any time now.

If they still look good, I see no reason to change your original plans.

I've actually had them pip on their own that early.. At day 57 you're fine to clip if you want to, just sill be careful..

Just let one or two pip and then cut. If the eggs look good there's no reason to worry.

To cut or not to cut, that is the question. It's up to you. I would at day 57...if I could wait that long.

i would cut them. but even if you do, you may not see if they have kinks or not from the temp spike. might be hard to see in the egg.
