Tipping over of water bowls

I realized yesterday that I am having a problem with two of my adult females after I had to dry their tubs 5 times in an hour between the two because it would appear they like to play, lets see how many times we can tip our water bowls over game. It seems like everytime I turn around, atleast one of them has done it.

So my question is there any good way to stop them (or atleast reduce) from tipping their water bowls. The bowls I am currently using are these ones:

except i get them from walmart. Is there a better/heavier bowl locally available that wont break the bank? I was also thinking that I could make the base larger by gluing a piece of acrylic to the bottom of the bowl, rounding all the edges of the plexi of course. But I tend to overthink things, so I was looking for an opinion.

I use a heavy dog bowl also that I got from Dollar Tree.

Grazizani showed me a great way to prevent it. Also cheap and easy. Go out and get the deli cups like this

without holes of course. Hot glue one cup to the inside of the snake tub. Then all u do is set another inside of that one.

They cant tip it over. There cheaper that ceramic dog bowls. And since only one is glued in the other comes out for easy cleaning. This works great.

For hatchlings get the shallow cups with lids. Then cut a half dollar sized hole in the lid. Even if they tip it over no water comes out.

:number1: This! I own about 18 of them, and I've never had one tipped over. I had a Mom & Pop petstores in VA order me a case of them at $4 each.

I just recently switched over from ceramic to the 4" PVC couplings and love them. They certainly will NOT be tipped over.

To anyone using this method, could you point me to where you get your cups at and which ones?

I too bought the ones from RBI bc i thought they were heavy. Well they werent so i had the same problems. I went to the dollar store and got some of the ceramic dog ones and they work better. Im saving the RBI ones for when i breed to use in hatchlings enclosures though. Because my 400 gram cinny boy has yet to tip his.

I buy the big dog bowls from the dollar store. They're plastic and have a gap around the inside. I've never had in tipped and the snakes will even go hide under them.
