    Snake Rack
This is my first rack I have a question about them.

    1. There is 6 shelfs each with 3" heat tape and a plug for each one. I have 2 thermostat one is a Helix DBS-1000 and a Herpstat ND witch each can plug in 3 plugs. Now I have the Helix on the first 3 shelfs and the ND on the last 3 shelfs. the last 3 shelfs has 3 sizes on bins, so I get 90F if the on the smaller bins but the bigger bins are 85-86F.

So my question is how many heat strips could I plug in the Helix? all 3 plugs are be used, could I put a power bar and plug in 4 heat strip instead of 3? So I could could use the ND just for the bigger bins and set the temp higher and not affect the smaller bin that pug in there now.

You can run up to 500 watts on a Helix...Use a Power Strip if you need to plug in more than 3 plugs to the thermostat.

I picked up the rack used and the guy that I got it from doesn't remember the wattage of the heat tape. Its 3" heat tape how many different wattage is there is the 3"? The rack is 34" inside, so I would just have to ad each foot of tape, right to come up with the total wattage?

I just measured the tape and its acutely 4" heat tape. So what I could find online it 8 watts a foot flex watt heat tape. Do they make different wattage other then the 8 watts and I just can't find it?
