Snakes, Skinks and Toads (DUW!)
I was weeding and mowing today, and my productivity was cut very short when I decided to slide this heavy plastic bin aside on one of our flower beds.. I ran inside to get my camera, and proceeded to snoop around the entire yard.
First, there were three rough earth snakes (Virginia striatula) together under the bin. A fourth had been accidentally decapitated by my mother a few days before, so finding these guys made my day. For their own safety, I relocated them to the woods.

And some common little pumpkins.

Two five-lined skinks, this gorgeous one looking especially gravid!

Also a rarely seen little bugger, an eastern narrowmouth toad (Gastrophryne carolinensis).

I also found four tic-tac sized eggs that may be skink eggs. And like a kid in a mystery candy store, I'm incubating them. Enjoy!

You should let us know what kind of tic-tacs hatch out of those eggs :P
Haha, that's just me and petnames. I'm fostering orphan kittens at the moment, and I'm baby-talking every living creature. :P I think they're southern toads, but it's hard for me to ID those guys.
I will keep you updated on the tic tac clutch! :D
EDIT: I forgot to add, I candled the tiny eggs (so difficult) and they all seem pretty nice and fertile.
