What is a good, SLOW lizard to keep as a pet... you know, one that you can hold in your hand for a while without it trying to rip your skin apart and get away. i've had skinks, and a 3 and 1/2 foot green iguana... but i want something small and fun. any ideas? oh yeah, easy to maintain too. (lol i know thats probably a long shot, so in other words... whats the perfect lizard?)

Legless lizzard's (glass snake's) are cool. I catch them around my property every year. Never kept one as a pet but like to do the catch and release on them.

Bearded Dragons tend to be pretty mellow, though my wife's beardie seems to be going through puberty right now and is acting moody.

Beardies get large enough to be "sturdy", they look pretty cool, and word is that even wild ones are often mellow enough to just walk up to and pick up. They breed readily in captivity, so CB babies are plentiful.

What about Lepard, or Fat Tailed Geckos?
Their pretty cool and I hear you can breed and morph them too relatively easy.
I'm in a lizard buying dalema myself, but need to get some stuff done first.
