    2 year old eating issues
i have a bp that is just barely 2 years old. he is about 38 inches long and 2 inches wide. i have had him for a year. when i got him he was eating 2 adult mice a week. i still fed him 2-3 adult mice a week after that. then he just stopped! he waited 6 weeks then ate 1 mouse then waited 5 weeks then waited 8 weeks.... he still sheds in the normal time frame but its been 2 weeks this time and im not sure if i should be concerned.

    any ideas?

Sounds like you own a ball python lol

They can go over a year without eating, so I wouldn't lose sleep over this.

Just make sure that he has an 88-92 degree hot side, 78-82 degree cool side 40%-60% humidity, and at least 2 good hides. I would also suggest that you don't handle him until he starts eating consistently again.

Stress. No matter how nice we are to BP's some BP's will get stressed out from handeling (what if something 4 times your size picked you up?)

Basically you want your BP to be as stress free as possible, because stress = not eating. It isn't the only cause, but it is the most common.
