    Do they?
    Glow when they are gravid?
I know they glow before and what not but what about once they are gravid?

I have a Mojave girl that just shed and before this shed she was glowing and building but kinda squishy firm
Now she's super firm and looks like a ghost

    What she up too?

Why yes they do, the glow last until after the ovy and right up until the prelay shed.
After prelay shed they go back to close to normal looking.

So safe to say she isn't gravid?
She feels very firm. And is hugging the water bowl...
I've been palpating for a few months and just last month I could feel follicles.
And she shed not too long ago I think about 2 months. But has pounded down rats like nobody's business
she is just over 2000 grams
Her spine is pronounced a bit.
And she seems to have a little tail suck but not dramatic like my normal lady had last season.

I'm gonna put my butter in with her again
If she continues to lock that's a good tell that she isn't gravid yet correct?

sounds like shes close to ovulating, goodluck. Also yes if she continues to lock she is most likely not gravid yet.:gj:

Sometimes they can glow after their prelay shed. My pastel female glows from a week before she starts developing follicles until her first shed after she lays.

My girl started glow early Jan, laid 6 eggs early April and is still retaining some of her glow even still. There was a few times during her glow where her "normal" dark color would come and go for a day or so. Hormonal nightmare? Lol

She was very dark before, but now not nearly as much. However, this was her first clutch ever so maybe her color had lightened now shes fully mature? I dont know. I have read here n there in the forums of other BPs taking on a odd and sudden color change so who knows really. Haha

ball pythons glow for a reason, not just because they want to and not before a prelay shed and not for many months, it just doesn't work that way.
The glow happens after the preov shed and last until they go into prelay shed ;)
However long the time between sheds is will dictate how long the female glows.
