Internal bleeding on my BP head?

MY ball python has bloody spot like this in photo. I tried to wipe it away but it look like it is internal. No open wound from outside. I have never fed live prey to him. He is in plastic tub, temp and humidity are within the range. It happened before but it went away within a few hours. Will he be fine?

Your BP should be fine, though I would carefully go through everything inside your cage to make sure that there aren't any sharp objects that could do this. (espicially since you said that this isn't the first time)

Keep a close eye on it, if it even starts to look infected go to your local pharmacy and get some Betadine (over the counter) you will dilute the Betadine in warm not hot water (water temp in the mid to upper 80's) I believe the ratio is 1 part Betadine to 10 parts water. It should be a light tea color if diluted properly.

Do not use hydrogen peroxide or neosporin. Both of those will do more harm than good.

I would be more worried about what is causing this so it can be prevented in the future, the wound itself looks superficial.

Yep, what he said. This definitely looks like an injury from rubbing the head on a hard pointy object. Sometimes the insides of the tubs (especially the lids) have stiffening areas that they can rub against.

Thank you sir. I will get that Betadine asap. The strange thing is that I can not remove blood from his head. It just disappeared by itself less than half a day and looked like nothing had happened. In his tub, there are two reptile basics brand plastic hides and plastic water bowl.
