Someone please tell me I'm going to survive the wait for eggs.
Ok, so I know beyond a doubt one of my females ovulated, and I suspect ovy in two more.

All three had what I am nearly positive was the pre-lay shed, but it's been 30 days for the girl who ovulated first, 27 and 25 days respectively for the other two.

I am pacing a hole in the floor and driving myself to distraction by peeking cautiously in the tubs somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 times a day.

Please tell me I'm going to survive this, and these girls will lay when they are ready, regardless of when the books say they should.

I'm pretty sure you are gonna' survive the wait :D

You'll come out the other side with some cool clutches...and start waiting all over again!

Step away from the tubs and breathe. They will lay when they lay. Checking alot will just drive you crazy

Yup...what everyone else said. My big female laid 43 days after shed. Gave me 11 eggs. I checked once every morning till she laid. She will lay when the time is right.

Think this is tough...wait till the eggs are laid!!

in the same boat here! day 28, 25, 24 pre lay sheds. the wife wont stop stareing into the tubs. im okay but its driving her batty. im good until like day 52 in the incubator then im the one going nuts. last year i had one go 38 days after shed before she layed and then I ended up cutting the eggs at day 61 and it was day 63 before the first one decided he was ready to take a cruise out of the shell. gotta love it

For me, the wait for hatching isn't as bad. I got a single clutch last year, and I was fine - the time just flew by.

But waiting to see if the eggs I am hoping so desperately for actually come ? I'm like an expectant father in an old comedy; pace pace pace pace, smoke smoke smoke { I don't, but if this keeps up I might start } pace pace pace pace. I'm about to tear my hair out, and the sad thing is, I think my big girl knows it's making me batty, and she's holding out on me on purpose! :rolleye2:

It was easier waiting for my own kids to be born than waiting for these eggs to be lain.

I really try not to disturb my girls too often when they are "expecting" :) I check in the morning only... but I'm usually checking cages later on if I'm still pairing, or feeding, and do a quick "peek" just to see what's up :)

The wait for eggs to hatch is going faster than the wait for eggs to be laid for me too... I have eggs due June 3rd, and it's only a month away... then June 13th, and June 22nd... the rest of these girls are taking their sweet time laying :)

3 of my girls are "eminent" to laying... 4 girls have been laying inverted over the last few days (not included in the 3), and a few other girls are into their pre-lay sheds right now... so many to wait for!
