So I just made my tubs, and said I would put pictures up but my camera is not working for some reason right now. Anyways my heat mat has a slight air bubble in the bottom is this ok? or what do I need to do to fix this so that it will be warm enough for my ball python.

I wouldn't worry too much about the air bubble, especially if it is small. The heat will transfer fine especially on a plastic tub.

Not knowing your setup all I will say is please make sure that your heat source is attached to a thermostat or rheostat as heat pads and heat tape can reach temperatures of 120F which can result in serious burns to your snake. Hook up a digital thermometer with a probe and don't be using any tape to fasten the probe if it is inside the tub.

Alright thanks, I am using a tub so it should be fine, and I have a VE-100 running it, I have it set at 92 right now and the probe is just about there but the thermometer says its at 86 I am going to check on it again soon and see how it's going. Thanks again.

you will probably have to turn up the thermostat a few degrees, the tub absorbs some of the heat

I have the thermostat at 94 now and the temperature probe is at 91 is this ok? and my Colder side of the tub is at 72 I figure that it will warm up a little bit but what should it be? The humidity is going up to about 60% by itself also with just my water dish in there. I'm already getting excited to have my snakes sent to me haha.

cool side should be at least 75, 78-82 is best though.

91 is perfect for the hot side.

Alright, thanks. Do you know anyway to help bump up that temperature a little bit?

what temperature is the room that the tub is in?

The room is right about 70 but i can't raise the temperature of the room, This room is going to be my quarantine room because I am getting 2 snakes at the same time from 2 different places. After a month they will be in my room which is about the same temperature but I'm going to get a small heater for it.

ok, that is pretty cold for tubs. a small space heater to heat just the part of the room where the tub is would work best, but a heat lamp suspended above the tub will also work.
