So I Follow my own paleo type diet. For those of you that don't know, I'm into power lifting/cross fit type training. Any ways I'm going to go to a pretty straightforward paleo/ caveman diet and see how I like it. Basically the only thing I will be doing different from my own style is taking away dairy, cutting out brown rice for carbs and getting to load up on more meats. Just wondering if there is anyone that's following the paleo lifestyle, and how it's working for them.

    youre such a dork lol
I reccommend getting a club and cutting a hole in the bottom of your car so your feet can stick out. Oh yea and get yourself a nice loin cloth, nothing too tight though. You dont wanna be mistaken for one of those european cavemen.

It's generally eating what primative people could eat before agriculture. So meats, nuts seeds, vegetables. It cuts out the processed foods like bread. So instead of getting your carbs from breads and grain, you get them from veggies. I love it because I can still eat all the meat I want.

One of the guys I rode with back in Virginia was on the Paleo diet, and he dropped a lot of exess weight over the course of last racing season.

I know a couple people who've tried it and it works well as long as you follow the portions laid out. That means relatively little meat compared to veggies simply for fiber and vitamins. Both of them went on the diet to lose weight and it worked but that could be because they started having grilled chicken and veggies instead of bacon and burgers. ;)

In a way, I actually eat a semi-paleo diet with a lot of raw veggies/fruits and then grilled or broiled chicken/venison/elk/bison/fish. It's actually helped a lot with chronic fatigue, allergies, and digestive issues.

I'm following the paleo items not tiny portions. I eat up to 8 meals a day
