FT question

Not sure if anyone knows the answer but I have had a couple of jumbo ASF's in the fridge since saturday (5days).. they went in the fridge straight from the freezer.. should they still be okay?

I don't know for sure, but I would assume so

Personally, I wouldn't chance it after 5 days, but, your mileage may vary.

I'm thinking it might not be worth the risk.. LOL

5 days is a while......personally I wouldn't risk it.

Do you want to eat 5 day old meat. I prefer not too.

I'm sure they're fine actually...from being in the freezer straight to the refrigerator would thaw them out very slowly. And assuming your refrigerator is below 41 degrees, there's minimal chance that spoilage has started yet.

You think the meat you eat is less than 5 days old??? Really????? Unless you're doing the killing, butchering, and storing yourself, I highly doubt it.

After its sitting in my refrigerator for 5 days I know it's way past it's prime. And as a matter of fact I do kill, butcher and freeze my own food.
