Do male snakes pee through their hemipenes?
I am just curious, does anyone know if a male snake pees through the hemipenes? Or do they just pee through their anal cavity? Because the hemipenes are retracted in the rear it seems that the intestines etc. don't connect to them?

Sorry if this is a silly question.

The hemipenes are copulatory organs only. Snakes do not have an anus. All reptiles, like birds and amphibians, have a cloaca which serves all of their reproductive urinary and defecation needs
