    Substrate/Feeding Question
So after I fed my bp for the first time a few weeks ago I learned that he doesn't much care for being touched let alone moved after he eats (I had moved him to a different cage to feed him). The last couple times I've fed him I've done it in his cage, and it's gone really well. This last time tho he managed to eat a piece of of substrate (I use aspen) with his mouse. I tried to pick it off the mouse before he could swallow it but couldn't. Now, because I panic about everything, I'm scared it will cause him damage. I know it can lead to impaction and such, but what should I do for now? :(

Absolutely nothing, there isn't anything you need to do because there isn't anything that you can do.

Keep a close eye on him, and if in the next weeks he starts to look bloated towards the tail you will know you have an issue. (we'll deal with it if it happens)

Chances are if it was a small amount that he won't have any issues at all. This happens to them in the wild all the time. Unless it was a mouthful I wouldn't be worried at all.

Hes fine. Most snakes injest a little bit of substrate when eating anyway. Unless hes eating mouthful after mouthful you dont have anything to worry about. Most snakes dont like being moved after they eat thats why I just feed them in the tub. That and it would take forever to feed them all outside of there tub.

Thank you both so much. My roommate kept telling me I was worrying too much, but seeing as how it's my first snake I was kind of scared. It was just a small piece, and he's since been active around his cage so I think he's fine. Just wanted to get another opinion. Thanks again.
