How big should my custom hide be?
I'm building a Mayan ruins-themed tank (all my reptiles are on display), and making some pyramid hides. Just wondering how large they should be? I made one that's about 9" x 11" at the base, which seems like it will be appropriate for at least a juvenile, but I'm not sure. I'm getting hooked up from a breeder friend of mine, so I'm not 100% sure what age snake I'll be getting.

I would use a Reptile Basics medium hide and mold your pyramid around/on top of it. It will be good up to 900g or so, and make it easier to clean the inside.

You usually want the hide to be big enough for the snake to fit snug into to make him feel secure.
