    question about water dishes
Hello, I have seen many videos of professional breeders using a certain type of water dishes for their snakes .. the outside is made out of a plastic pvc pipe (used for stability) and the inside out of a plastic cup .. now my question refers to these plastic cups .. where do you buy them? I have been looking in different stores and the plastic cups they sell here (in Slovenia, Europe) are usually picnic cups, and with that I mean they are really tall (like 8cm +) .. I am looking for lower plastic cups (about 5cm) .. so the question is as follows: those of you who use this type of water dishes, where do you buy the plastic cups? (question is ofcourse ment for Europeans)
Thank you vey much for your time and help
    best regards, Andrej

I can't help you in regards to a European distributor but the cups I ordered for the 4" PVC coupling setup are 16 oz deli cups.

You can see a picture of them here: http://www.tsksupply.com/products/Al...N-PUNCHED.html

since importing those plastic cups would be too expensive i decided to find an alternative and here it is -> a cappuccino cup (of course i cut off the pointy end)

now I needed something to stabilize it, since plastic tubes i found weren't appropriate size (either too small or too big) .. they say "when in doubt duct tape it" and yes, duct tape was the solution in this case :D

plastic cups fit perfectly into the middle of the roll of duct tape .. tape offfers great stability and here it is .. a cheap solution for a do-it-yourself water dish

Please don't put rolls of duct tape in with your snakes...This will end very badly!!!!

why do you think this will end badly? it's not like im actually leaving unwraped duct tape in with the snakes :D .. there is no way they can unwrap this roll .. or is there another reason for it to end badly?

I know this is kind of old but I wanted to chime in. Duct tape is a bad idea. The can rub it off. Even if by accident. Do a thread search and you will find several threads on it. But your snake an get stuck to it and rip off scales. People use the Solo cups so that they can throw them away when they get dirty. Using the coffee cups defeats the purpose.
