Burm possible regurgiation

Okay so I have a burm that is roughly 2.5 ft long (just got him a few months ago) anyway he normally eats two rat pups well this week when i went to get his food I realized we had tiny pups and I didn't want to bump the size of his prey so I gave him four which weight wise added up to the size of his normal meal. he took all of them like it was nothing. I had removed his cage decorations for cleaning and what not and didn't want to mess with him yesterday because I had fed him Saturday night. When my Fiance took him out so I could replace his decorations he struck at him (which isn't normal, he normally hisses and acts tough but never does anything) when he did he missed and this clear liquid came out. I'm assuming it was a regurgitation in sense. I was wondering if I should skip his feeding this Saturday (I've heard if they ever regurgitate their stomachs need time to balance out is how it was explained to me) or if he should be fine by then. Like I said it was just a clear liquid.

I would think if he was fed saturday and its monday now he is probably in the clear when it comes to regurge risk, esp if they were small meals.
It could be just water. He might have just recently drank and was startled by your fiance, hissing & striking may have forced some of the water back out his mouth.An actual regurge would look more disgusting than a clear liquid.I'd say He's fine.

Another possibility is a Respiratory Infection. From your description it sounds exactly like what my BP did when she had an RI. When she "coughed" (snakes can't cough, but it looks similar), she "struck".

However, if it was clear and liquid, not slimey/sticky, it was probably just water being "coughed" up in a similar way. Another member of the site posted a video of his Retic I believe, doig just this. I hope your baby burm is okay!

I went to check on him this morning and he is fine, I'm battling RI with my boa at the moment and my burm is showing no signs of RI so I guess it was just water because it wasn't slimy or anything. Just me being paranoid. thanks guys I appreciate it
