    Low Quality Black Pastel?
First of all, sorry for another thread for 'Is This A Morph???' but I really am pretty curious now... After being on this forum for awhile I've learned and seen many new things... and recently saw on here what was thought to be a low quality black pastel. It got me to thinking about my girl...
http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...s/100_3827.jpg Now before you jump on it and say normal, please here me out because I have atleast a few more pics with valid points lol I don't know everything that makes a black pastel a 'black pastel' but I've made a few observations....

First of all and most apparent thing would have to be the 'connected alien heads'. My girl has a good amount of these mostly down her neck but also some along the rest of her...

Then there would be her black color. Her black is extremely black with blushing only on her back and a little coming from the belly in places.

I've also sometimes noticed an outline of lighter scales on the alien heads...
    http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...s/100_3821.jpg

Sometimes I see white coming up from the belly like in the middle of her in this pic.. also I notice O pattern on their backs and she only has one of these but I think it still counts on her top right of pic...

    Belly shot...
    http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...s/100_3825.jpg

As for color, well that you have to decide. She has some yellow on her back and head as well as coming up from her belly as you can see in the belly shot. The yellow turns into orange on her sides. Her color isn't exactly brown, it's kind of browny orange. I tried to capture her color but it's not exactly right. It's close though... She also has a ton of speckling on her sides almost granite look going on. And on her head I've noticed the 'Mickey mouse-ish' looking mark coming through... haha fire in there? :P

So any opinions would be great, I know breeding her will be the only sure fire way but hey, it is always nice to get others' perspectives.
P.S. I know she is a little dehydrated, I'm tweaking her cage but I never ever see her drink her water... she doesn't like tap and doesn't like bottled. Picky I guess...

I would still jump on it and say that's a normal. Nothing about that snake says black pastel.:weirdface

Black pastels are more deeper in color like a deep bronzeish.
Black pastels have 'squiggles' around their alien heads.
'connected alien heads' isn't a black pastel trait so much,They have a single dot alien heads or floating alien heads, sure they may be connected into enlongated blotches, but your snakes pattern is normal for the most part.
Your snake also lacks a decent amount of flames on its body.

Granted every single black pastel may not show all the traits at the same time, one could still usually distinguish a black pastel from a normal based on color alone.
I could see your snake being mistaken for a 'Het Red axanthic' before somebody thinks its a black pastel, and thats only cause of the black back it seems to have.

Normal wild type :) Nice looking snake though! Probably be a great one to breed with a Black Pastel or darker type morph.

I'm not seeing anything that would lead me to believe she's a Black Pastel, low quality or not. She's a nice looking Normal.

I see a very lovely normal who would make some beautiful babies when bred to the right male or males.

For me, the main black pastel trait is the squiggles of dark scales inside the "alien heads", even the poor black pastels I have seen all have that to one degree or another.

Ok thank you everyone :) I was just curious about her and now that I've been told a bit more about the black pastel I see. I think breeding her to one would be a good idea, either that or a cinnamon. I'd like to see if she passes on that black back of hers too ^_^
