    Hospital yay!
So yesterday, I woke up with a sore throat... I figured it was just because I went to sleep with no bottle of drink for the middle of the night and when I woke up I could not be bothered getting out of bed...

The day went on, and it became slowly more difficult to swallow. I'd skipped breakfast, and so I needed to eat (diabetic, need insulin). I managed to force some sandwiches down me...

But when I got home the pain spread really quickly into my mouth and down my throat to the point where it became impossible for me to swallow, eat, drink and speak!!! I was like "Oh my biscuit what is going on?!" but in my head... My throat was swollen, red and seriously painful. Next thought was -I'm going to stop breathing in a minute...

So I went to the out of hours doctor and because Im diabetic they allllways test my blood, and ketones level (it's like a poison in your blood which turns it acidic for those who dont know) and ketones are through the roof, blood sugar is through the roof and I ended up in A&E with a tonne of doctors that clearly weren't talking to each other or reading the notes because they'd come in, talk to me and then look puzzled when my other half answered - Hello. I can't speak without crying? Duh.

Anyway - After hours and hours of A&E (actually my shortest visit) and getting impatient, they said "oh we're keeping you in."

So I ended up whispering as loudly as possible "MmmmmNO. Think I'll go home."
I wasn't going to hang around and waste their time and space (they were struggling last night) when I can deal with it at home.

Sometimes I think Drs know best...and other times they need to listen to the patient.

Currently living off milk :sweeet: And Munch was being all cute and lovely when I got back too :)

Definitely not! Although I did make my other half laugh because the sick bowl looked like a cowboy hat...so I wore it for a bit.

    Empty of course!

Steal away, I got a million more :P

I can't speak, and eating is seriously hard! Honestly ordering Mcdonalds when your voice slightly resembles Voldemort is both frustrating and highly amusing...

Grant is getting some serious peace though!! Every time I try and talk I push it and get all light headed :( Im on penicillin for a few days an then back to the docs!

Cherry, take care of your self and keep an eye on your sugar levels. You know better than most that any disruption in your eating patterns can play havoc with your levels.

Get some rest (there must be something interesting on the tele), drink as much fluid as you can stand, and please feel better soon!

Thanks so much guys :) I've gone through about a million litres of smoothies, and am on pretty much double the amount of injections :) Don't particularly want to end up back in hospital :) I don't know what hospitals are like over the sea and far away but here you'd have thought they'd never heard of Diabetes on some occasions!

As for Grant waiting on me hand and foot, he's at work a lot :( so bed and a pile of movies and smoovies! (Maybe a cheeky bit of Xbox :P)
