Dont know how you do it...Takes a special person to handle that kind of load.
Tell me, what exactly got you involved in the rescue work area? Do you get donations, or is it all on your shoulder's?

Well let me see. It is my husband and myself and it's definately a full time job 24 / 7/ (No honeymoon..lol) We were just married in Oct. and just engaged last Febuary. We have been best friends for ten years. We ran seperate rescues. but always worked together to some degree.
I've always loved the herp world and have been doing my best to study everything I can about it for the last ten years. And my husband has just always loved it also. He slowed down a bit 4 years ago when his son was born, and then rehomed his animals to my house when his sons mother passed away three years ago. so just this past year we've hitched up and made it a joint rescue.
As for financially, it's all on our shoulders, and at this point my husband is unable to work, so i'm either working at a vet or pet related occupation. The big museum rescue was very hard (18 animals) we put our wedding off due to funding. But our DVM is wonderful, she does everything for basically cost and we can run our own fecals and bloodwork for less money too.
This rescue is what drives us. it's our lives. And I don't know what I would do, if I couldn't do this.
It's very very hard financially but it's that way for alott of people. And we do our best, all of our animals are fed and heated and cared for. And so is our little boy. It is my whole world.
Even thou it can be very trying at times, I consider myself extremely lucky to know what I want to do with my life at such a young age.
I learned a long time ago never to take anything for grantid. That's very true with everything in my life.
Ok well I've rambeld on, sorry about that.

Thank's for shareing Rusty. Like I said in my prior post, It takes a special person to handle that kind of load. If a person wanted to make a donation, let's say, sometime after the holiday's.....Where could he send it to? PM me if you want
